Hurricane Helene

The effects of Hurricane Helene may be felt within the South Granville Water & Sewer Authority (SGWASA) service area. SGWASA's management teams are closely monitoring the situation and activated an emergency response plan. Utility crews and technicians are on standby, ready to address any issues that may arise.


Heavy rain and strong winds are expected within the SGWASA service area. Storms can be unpredictable, it is great to be prepared for common storm emergencies that arise.

Assemble a basic emergency kit including water, non-perishable food, flashlights, batteries, and first-aid supplies. Secure your property by removing loose tree limbs and other detached outdoor objects, and bring in anything that could become a projectile.





SGWASA customers are asked to report any utility emergencies via the contact information found at sgwasa.org/emergency. Please exercise caution and heed any weather warnings from your local and national weather reporting centers.
