Town of Butner Infrastructure Presentation

Butner, NC. February 24, 2025 — This morning, the Butner Town Council convened for the first of four workshops scheduled for 2025 to discuss infrastructure topics as part of their newly adopted strategic plan. Scott Schroyer, Executive Director of the South Granville Water & Sewer Authority, presented project updates that detailed ongoing and upcoming SGWASA projects critical to Butner’s future growth and sustainability.


SGWASA is positioned to play an integral role in Butner’s continued development with several major projects in motion, upgrading and expanding services to meet the needs of both current residents and new developments.


Ongoing projects include upgrades to Granville County's water distribution and sewer systems, aiming to enhance service reliability, reduce environmental impacts, and ensure long-term sustainability.
