PFAS - Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances
A large group of man-made chemicals that are resistant to heat, oil, and stains and have been used
to create modern products commonly used in various industries (worldwide) since the 1940s. They have been used in a wide range of products, including cookware, firefighting foams, and waterproof clothing.
PFAS is defined as a long carbon chain with fluorine atoms attached to most or all of the carbons.
